Holiday Inn & Suites Durango Downtown, An Ihg Hotel, Durango

The hotel was conveniently located in Durango, making it easy to get to anywhere without being right in the middle of town. The rooms were overall clean and comfortable, though the Jacuzzi room had only a nightstand on one side of the bed. The staff was welcoming and accommodating, except for the view of an unkempt garbage area from our window and the noise of a barking dog left by its owners on the third floor.

The hotel was spacious and roomy, with a nice but slightly worn feel despite being relatively new. The lack of a nightstand on one side of the bed was a bit inconvenient. However, the service, except for one person during check-in, was excellent, with great accommodation and friendliness from staff like Rick, Jessica, and Pheobe. The location was superb, within walking distance to the city center and offering various dining options though lacking breakfast. The dining experience was delightful but a bit overpriced, especially in the attached grill. Overall, a pleasant stay with some minor room amenities concerns.

I had a great time at the hotel thanks to its prime location near central Durango. My room, although more like a dormitory at first, was changed to a king room and turned out to be clean, cool, and quite comfortable. The service, from check-in to check-out, was fantastic with a few minor improvements needed. The dining experience, especially in the restaurant for breakfast, was excellent, although I felt certain items should have been complimentary. Overall, for the value, the hotel delivered a pleasant stay with some minor inconveniences.
